Tackling all types of disability insurance cases.  Long-term, short-term, even Canada Pension Plan Disability.

Long Term Disability (LTD)

Presenting a disability claim can be complex and stressful. You may feel as though the insurance company is skeptical of your claim. You may also find that your employer is not very sympathetic to your situation because you and your claims will cause their premiums to increase.
You may feel that you are treated unfairly, because the approval of your benefit is based upon the cooperation of people you have no, or very little, influence over.  A delay or a simple error can result in your claim being denied.  This can be a very stressful experience when you are simply trying to recover from an injury or illness.
Even if your claim is approved, your insurance company will want to terminate your claim as soon as possible.  That will be fine if you have made a good recovery. But if you haven’t, it will be a very difficult and stressful situation for you.
We can assist you in presenting your claim, gathering the necessary medical evidence, negotiating with the insurer and, if necessary, starting a lawsuit to enforce your rights.  We take appropriate cases on contingency so there are no up-front costs to you.  We understand that you are disabled and cannot afford to pay for legal assistance.  We will get paid only when you receive the benefits we recover on your behalf.

Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Disability

We have represented many clients before various levels of the appeal process for disability benefits under the Canada Pension Plan.  The process may involve appearing before a board or tribunal to argue the disabled status of the claimant.  We can help you present your case so that you have the best chance of having the benefit awarded.
